WHAT IS A STUDENT GREENCARD?

A Student Greencard looks and works like an ordinary Metro Greencard on Metro Buses but also lets students get a cheaper fare when going to and from school on Derwent Valley Link bus services.

  • Students will need a Greencard to pay a cheaper fare on Derwent Valley Link services

  • When can I get this discount?  From the start of the 2012 school year and on Derwent Valley Link you can use your Greencard to get cheaper fares from 5th February 2012.

  • If you have a Greencard you don't need to get another one.  You can just use the one you have.

  • To get the cheaper ($1.00) fare you have to show your Greencard when getting on the bus.

  • If you don't show your Greencard, you will have to pay the standard student fare per trip of $1.30.

  • You can use your student Greencard to store credit for when you catch a Metro bus before of after school, on the weekends or during school holidays.  (refer www.metrotas.com.au for terms and conditions of use).

  • Your first Student Greencard is free but if you need it replaced for any reason there is a fee (please refer below for replacement details).
